Dear friends,

As you are well aware, the situation in the world is not good at the moment due to the Coronavirus crisis.
Almost no country allows to enter and travel, Russia is no exception for that. Current restrictions to enter Russia are in place till 1st of May. Russian government takes many measures to contain the spread of the virus – the week of 30 March – 5 April is announced as paid vacations. People are strictly recommended to stay at home, some regions including Moscow have ordered a quarantine.

The current situation in Siberia is not very bad at the moment, there are a few cases of the disease in every region of people who returned from abroad, in the Altai Republic there are no cases of sick people so far. Nevertheless the Altai Republic Government has ordered to close all hotels, guesthouses and accommodations till 1st of June. We do hope that taken measures will help to keep the virus out and the situation will improve all over the world by the summer.
As to the crew of Kaichi Travel, we work of course from home as we always do when we are not travelling. We continue preparations for the summer season, design new trips for 2021 and moreover now we have time to write blogposts about Altai. Follow the updates on our site and FB!
